Meanwhile, Over At Dread Media....#664

As we wait for the demonic delights of Episode 666, we devote an episode to good ol’ fashion Grindhouse Psychos!  First, Des and Duane go into the swamp for Tobe Hooper’s sophmore effort, Eaten Alive. Then Rich The Monster Movie Kid wanders the much missed streets of a New York City that no longer exists in William Lustig’s seminal Joe Spinell showcase Maniac.

The trailers are below, as are features on the love alligators have for golf courses, Joe Spinell quoting Shakespeare on the legendary Joe Franklin Show, and music by Febueder and Roadside Hundred (covering ‘Maniac,’ a song Michael Sembello originally wrote for this film before rewriting it and selling it to the producers of Flashdance!)

....and because mentioning Michael Sembello makes me think of one package of cheesy awesomeness, I’ve added his follow-up to ‘Maniac,’ ‘Automatic Man.’

You’re welcome.
