Here at the OcaDecaGonaGon, we pay our respects to a Great, Great Man in the field of genre cinema. Stuart Gordon succumbed to the Corona Virus, which prompted me to make my lab monkey watch his Sports-Film-With-Giant-Robots Robot Jox! Thrill to the low budget future vision wrapped in a good ol’ fashioned sports melodrama! Thrill to the grizzled veteran and the plucky newcomer getting together to vanquish their stereotypically monstrous opponent! Thrill to the wicked cool stop-motion robot fighting fashioned by Dave Allen! Tremble as we get derailed and Chris and I grumble over the direction two of the most popular geek franchises have been going.
